Data Research Analyst (Health and Wellness)

Job Description:

Envision2bWell is seeking a Health and Wellness Data Analyst experienced utilizing Power BI and other survey tools to model datasets and develop interactive reports. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. The Data Analyst responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design. Data analysts will develop analysis and reporting capabilities. They will monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.

In addition to being an excellent written and verbal communicator, the ideal candidate will be resourceful and highly creative in an analytical mindset. To succeed in this role, a solid understanding of survey creation, data collection and reporting is key. A background in public health, including an understanding of the social determinants of health is crucial to interpreting and analyzing our data.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and plan a variety of internal/external assessments and surveys using established procedures and practices
  • Research and analyze data from surveys to identify patterns and stories
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Filter and "clean" data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
  • Prepare and organize survey results presentations, and reports.
  • Develop and implement research design, inclusive of methodology and appropriate statistical methods for analyzing data on assigned projects
  • Review data runs, suggests and pursues additional analyses as appropriate, and provide overall quality assurance
  • Creates presentations and write reports for internal and external clients
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and expertise with traditional and new research methods, analytic techniques, and technologies
  • Utilize SPSS software to write programs and creates syntax to implement agreed-upon research design and methodology
  • An understanding of various primary research survey tools (SurveyGizmo, Alchemer, Survey Monkey, Qualtrics, etc.)

Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Public health preferred. Master's degree a plus
  • Demonstrated expertise in survey research methodology, sampling, designing questionnaires, data analysis, and report preparation
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • At least two years of prior experience in manipulating and interpreting data using data analysis techniques (queries, drills, sorting, formulas)
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
  • Experience with statistical analysis concepts
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage projects simultaneously and under pressure of deadlines
  • Superior attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through
  • Experience in using survey software (i.e., Qualtrics or Survey Monkey).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
