Here is a brief job description:
The Sales Copywriter position will support the Hirsh Marketing team in writing for social media, podcasts, monthly marketing reports, case studies and email campaigns to build visibility and brand awareness for the company.
The Sales Copywriter will also be responsible for creating copy for our funnels--landing pages, sales pages, upsell pages, confirmation pages, etc...They will focus on using Emily's voice consistently throughout the copy, being polarizing and against the grain, innovative and creative, standing out against what everyone else is doing, staying on top of current trends and topics.
This person will be immersed in the worlds of copywriting as well as digital marketing so they are able to drive strategy and content and bring ideas to the table to level up our content experience.
Here's what you'll be responsible for:
Social Media Related Tasks:
- Create social media post copy based on current promotions and releases, trending topics, lifestyle, valuable content
- Stay on top of trending topics and have a pulse on what's current in the digital marketing space
- Be creative and drive the direction of the content with consistent suggestions and innovation
- Deliver innovative ideas on content topics to the marketing team and make suggestions on strategy
- Support with any suggestions around IG story or video topics you feel should be done by Emily or the team to improve our content and brand message
Podcast Related Tasks:
- Handle all copywriting aspects of the podcast from tip to tail – using an editorial mindset with a strong sense of what makes a good story.
- Write 3-5 sentence description for each episode
- Write show notes with episode-specific CTAs and key points/timestamps
- Write promo email with 3+ subject line suggestions
- Select image for podcast graphic + task out to our graphic designer
- Write social post content
Media Outlet Related Tasks:
- Our main funnel functions as a media outlet where we deliver on the fly digital marketing information that every business owner needs to know. Our goal is to deliver content quickly, as it's happening, put our own spins and takes on it, and lay it out in a way that's easy to understand without all the fluff.
- Attend the monthly Ads Team Training and voice memo and relevant conversations
- Create the text message content and submit for review ASAP so we can send it out very quickly upon approval
- Pay attention to what Trending Now and Breaking News is inside the funnel dashboard and take the initiative to create replacements as they come to you via the daily meetings. This will require writing something a bit longer/more detailed than the text potentially. Submit for review and then pass onto the Tech VA to update the dashboard
- On occasion, create an email relating to a Breaking News topic that requires more story and detail to send to our subscribers
Email & Content Marketing Related Tasks:
- Writing and managing email marketing campaigns end-to-end, managing email databases and creating sales emails.
- Reach customers through email campaigns and inform them about new products and events, provide value/content emails without a promo, build trust and rapport rapidly
- Create all funnel related email sequences to ensure the experience a customer has coming into our list is positive, engaging, and keeps them coming back
- Contribute suggestions for frequency of emails, length, style, etc based on your expertise and knowledge of what's working now
- Design and implement direct email marketing campaigns, assist in making our email campaigns stand out and different from the norm
- Upgrade our email templates using graphics, gifs, personalization and advanced features
- Create email databases for lead generation
- Analyze campaign performance and suggest improvements
- Write all needed SMS / MessageMedia messages for our marketing funnels
- Collaborate with the ads team and write the content for 3-5 client case studies per quarter to add to our library and 2-3 Ignite case studies per quarter
Okay, enough about us. Here's who we're looking for:
- 2-3 years of experience creating content and social strategies for brands online.
- Ability to create copy for social media that reflects another person's voice.
- Drive and passion to learn and understand the EH brand and voice
- Goal and growth orientated. Metrics will be evaluated and held.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Highly organized and efficient.
- Detail oriented.
- Driven to stay ahead of the curve with trends and what's working now
- Ability to immerse in the digital marketing space to stay on pulse
Compensation & Benefits:
- Full time 40 hrs / week
- $250/mo healthcare stipend
- 7 Paid Federal Holidays
- 5 Wellness Days per quarter following 90 days of employment
- $58k annual starting salary
- Note: Not Hiring in NY or CA
