Position Description
We are looking for an exceptional and dedicated customer support star to join our growing, busy team. This position is for you if you are a detail-oriented, compassionate and caring person who navigates technology easily. We pride ourselves in dedication to our pet happiness - this business is a project of passion. And we want everyone involved to be dedicated to it as if it was their own - we want you to love our mission and stick with us.
- You have exceptional organization skills and can easily navigate and track our member details, making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
- You enjoy finding information and search is your constant friend - so answering people's questions and referring them to right resources is not a problem for you.
- You've got excellent communication skills, and know how to compassionately redirect people to our programs.
- Helping people with technology is super easy for you, you love showing your non-techy friends how to do things. Making a video tutorial takes you a minute.
- Answering emails and checking off things bring you joy - and you don't mind jumping on it a few times a day in the midst of other things you are doing.
This is a work-from-home position, averaging ~5-7 hours per week at the moment, with a lot of flexibility and possibility for growth. We will start hourly ($15-20) while training and then can set a monthly retainer that suits you. Most of the team is on the East Coast, so some availability during East coast hours would be great (for weekly meetings), otherwise the hours are open. Some projects may require your attention during the weekend (when launching a course), and some tasks may require immediate attention, but that's rare.
Your job will be to answer our customer emails: our members and potential customers, sometimes - potential private clients of Dr. Jeff. Also, reaching out to our members to keep them engaged and taken care of. Most emails will be helping people navigate the website/membership, referring them to the information they are looking for. In addition, you'll manage our members on the backend: keep and update the list, cancel/upgrade/refund memberships when needed (on Wordpress), add them to the forum, and so on. Occasionally you will need to make a phone call.
Must-Have Characteristics:
Intellectual
- Familiarity with Holistic Healthcare/lifestyle - ideally you lead a holistic life, or have studied it for a while now. At the least - you have passion for it and are willing to learn.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent memory to track the details/emails/tasks
- Great Writing Skills Including the Ability to Write in a Friendly, Casual, Yet Professional Tone
- Enjoy customer service
- Geek out on troubleshooting and fixing problems
- Must be a Fast Learner, Self-Motivated, and Can Quickly Google to What You Don't Know or ask someone if that will save you time
- Must be Able to Clearly document processes in a logical way
- Must have a Strong Attention to Detail, Without Getting Bogged Down or Overly
Distracted by Correcting Imperfections.
- Must be entrepreneurial in a sense that you treat this business as your own and make decisions based on what would be best for the business' growth at the moment.
Emotional
- Ability to Consistently Communicate Honestly, Openly, and Maturely to Resolve Conflict/Miscommunications/Unclarity as They Arise
Technical
- Proficient with Google Docs/Sheets/Google Drive
- Familiarity with WordPress
- Familiarity with Acuity
- Familiarity with Convertkit
- Familiarity with Memberpress, Learndash, Xenforo or similar platforms
- Comfortable using a screencasting program to record video tutorials
Other
* Willingness and ability to learn new software and skills as needed
