Primary Function of Position:
This position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the content of the Clarity PPM Database by performing in-depth investigations of questionable data entry and correcting as appropriate or advised. The Data Integrity Specialist provides issue identification, assessment, resolution, and technical support to achieve desired outcomes and compliance with Intuitive's policies / procedures and service level agreements. This role analyzes data correction scenarios and performs subsequent hands-on technical data corrections as part of daily work responsibilities. This position serves as an organizational resource for issues involving Clarity PPM data base project/milestone data correction and instructional support. The individual coordinates the parties and interdisciplinary teams involved in each case (i.e., finance, HR, PMO) and is responsible for ensuring all necessary corrections are made in a timely manner.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and reviewing data for integrity across Clarity PPM, data warehouse and Tableau dashboards
- This person would be responsible for the accurate entry of data into Clarity PPM
- Needs to work with mainly Finance and HR to collect important data about new hires and enter in the Clarity PPM system to support the quarterly resource allocation cycles
- Integrating best practices in data collection and management to guarantee quality assurance
- Performing data cleansing procedures as needed
- Effectively supports the migration of legacy data (in spreadsheets and databases) into new information systems as needed
- Creates data exports and reports in response to requests for information
- Provides end user instruction and support in finding and using data for organizational needs
- Completes additional projects as assigned
Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:
- High school diploma/GED required. Associates degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with data management and use. Previous data integrity experience preferred but not required
- Experience with portfolio management software such as Clarity PPM is a positive
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to organize and package data with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook as well as a demonstrated ability to utilize financial applications. Strong computer skills with an ability to manipulate & analyze large amounts of data.
- Ability to learn new technologies and applications quickly for specific project needs
- Ability to manage one's time and multiple projects with a positive, flexible attitude in a complex and rapidly changing work environment
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to other staff and key stakeholders who have little to no technical ability. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exhibits customer focused behavior such as building positive relationships and strives to understand customers needs, both internal and external.
- Understanding of Design Controls for Medical Devices is a plus. Medical devices experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with the Clarity PPM tool, Project Portfolio Management or Project/Program Management is a plus
