Construction Worker/Laborer
Installation Laborer/Construction:
We are seeking a highly self-motivated Installation Laborer to join Briggs Audio/Video Solutions, a small technology integration company. This is an opportunity to be part of a successful team that has been gaining new customers and is now in need of a well-rounded laborer who can handle residential and commercial projects. This is a full-time field technician/laborer/construction position, rather than a programmer job. You must have a construction background to be successful in this job.
Essential job duties:
· Willingness to help the lead tech on any given assignment and follow his instructions every day
· Ability to pull wires and mount televisions…etc.
· Knowledge of basic tools (how to use a drill, etc.)
· Physical labor: lifting large TVs and other equipment, crawling through crawl spaces, climbing ladders, etc.
· Excellent customer service skills are required (we are a small company so our customers really do become like family)
· Flexibility in terms of scheduling. We will work daily, but hours vary and locations range from Nashville to Franklin/Brentwood and other neighboring cities.
· Professionalism is a must. We work on projects ranging from luxury homes to commercial spaces (hotels, gyms, bars and restaurants, churches, funeral homes, etc.). Workers are expected to act/dress professionally on site.
· Ability to terminate wires is a plus, but not a necessity
Example of an average day: The employee will work directly with the lead tech to install every aspect of the job (pulling wires, installing necessary hardware, etc.). Projects will range from installing audio/video systems to setting up security cameras, completing low voltage electric work, installing video walls in bars, setting up custom lighting systems in luxury homes, and more. This is a dynamic company and every day is different! Ability to complete a range of construction tasks is a must.
Payment: The employee's rate of pay will be determined based on level of experience (you'll receive a 1099). Experience will be determined during a paid 1-week trial period. Starting range is likely between $15-30 and is subject to increase over time if you are an asset to the company. The position does not include healthcare benefits.
