Performance expectations for Consultants include the following:
Upholds all principles of confidentiality, including Personal Health Information (PHI), to the fullest extent, role-modeling for Analysts. Adheres to all professional and ethical behavior standards of the healthcare industry as well as Germane's policies.
Completes invoice tracker, if assigned as Project Manager, by manager in your pod, for administrative staff by the deadline (100% compliance). Approves time for staff, if assigned as Project Manager, in Nexonia, by 6:00 pm eastern time each Tuesday (100% compliance).
Completes training series for Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint as needed upon entry into the position. Incorporates feedback from Managers showing improvement and progression in assigned tasks/activities. Works closely with their assigned team, completing all assigned tasks correctly with minimal revision, and makes every effort to assist the Manager in ensuring success of the project.
Contributes to the development of people across the organization, providing formative feedback. Develops service line and templated materials in assigned service line. Where appropriate within designated pod, the Manager may assign you entire project(s) to Project Manage (Manager will supervise the client experience and will be ultimately responsible for the client under his/her purview).
Responsibilities of a Consultant includes the following:
Develops presentation materials, reports, and client deliverables with little to no revisions. Works as an integral member of the team and contributes to the overall success of the project, supporting analysts as well as all team members.
Participates in daily meetings with colleagues/pod members, to discuss projects and deliverables, taking notes to document items discussed for personal and team use. Prepares assessments and profiles of markets in which Germane clients operate and is able to clearly and concisely present/explain results of the assessment.
Gathers, interprets, and uses data (financial, clinical, or other) to develop opportunities/ action items for clients. Drafts proposals for clients and lead Request for Proposal (RFP) creation as directed by the President of Germane Solutions or the manager.
Participates in and/or leads almost all client interactions, including emails and meetings, upholding professionalism and role-modeling proper interactions for Analysts. Maintenance and develops depth of technical and subject matter expertise.
Identifies areas of development and takes initiatives in self-directed learning (e.g., research/time spent educating on service line-specific items such as GME, USMLE, NRMP, Grants). Identifies and develop sales opportunities in conjunction with the assigned pod Manager.
Works on multiple projects, successfully communicates project progress to and seeks input from the assigned pod Manager. Develops skills necessary to manage full client engagements as directed by assigned pod Manager.
After initial training, and with proper support, retains knowledge to complete tasks with less direct oversight from the manager. Assists in developing and managing budgets.
Trains, mentors, and provide feedback to new employees. Assists with career fairs and recruitment events, as needed. Assists with recruiting and interviewing new consultants and analysts.
Completes administrative functions as directed by the manager. Attends networking events, seminars, and conferences related to healthcare/Graduate Medical Education. Ability to travel as directed.
