Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit Do you have a passion for helping others grow and thrive? The Organization and Professional Development team is responsible for leading efforts to provide professional development and organizational development for UNC-Chapel Hill staff and faculty. We do this through four primary ways: consulting, training, coaching, and connecting resources for our clients across the University.

Position Summary This position provides administrative support for New Employee Orientation and serves as back up to the New Employee Orientation facilitator.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Knowledge-Program-Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of the area of specialization, the program, process and/or organizational operation
Information/Records Administration-Coordinates varied records processing activities requiring the application and some interpretation of agency procedures, policies, laws, and regulations.
Office Technology-Selects, understands and fully applies a variety of features in software programs, databases, information systems, and specialized equipment.
Problem Solving-Recognizes, defines and resolves problems using operating procedures, practices and established procedures.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Prefer candidate with experience working in an academic institution.
Prefer candidate with ConnectCarolina experience.
Special Physical/Mental Requirements Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate professionally in a concise, accurate manner in both verbal and written formats.
Strong customer service skills and experience.
Experience handling confidential information and communicating with people about sensitive or difficult matters.
Strong computer skills.
Experience with Microsoft office.
Strong organizational skills.
